Comparison

HireQwik vs Talview

Talview is an enterprise interviewing and proctoring platform with audits and many integrations. HireQwik is a narrower first-round screen built around evidence you can read.

The short answer

Talview suits large employers that want one audited platform for AI and live video interviews, telephone screening, WhatsApp and SMS outreach, identity checks and proctoring, with SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001 and integrations that include Indian ATSs. HireQwik is the simpler choice for a high-volume first round: every resume scored with the evidence shown, an English voice interview, and a ranked shortlist, which you can try yourself before any sales call.

Where HireQwik is different

Talview covers far more ground, so the differences are few but specific.

The resume score explains itself. For every requirement in the job description, HireQwik shows met, partial or missing next to the sentence from the resume that earned it. Talview describes resume screening as one automated step in its workflow; if you trial both, ask each to show why candidate 40 ranked above candidate 41.

Candidates are scored on what they say. HireQwik’s interview is a voice conversation, and its evaluation comes from the answers the candidate gives. Talview’s Ivy is a video interviewer that uses visual cues to assess. Some legal and HR teams prefer to keep appearance out of an automated assessment; if yours is one of them, that difference matters.

You can try it without a sales process. The live AI interview demo puts you in the candidate’s seat in a few minutes with no signup. Talview’s route in is a quote form and a pilot sized by candidate volume.

Where Talview is the better choice

Pick Talview if any of these matter to you:

  • Audits your procurement team will ask for. Talview says it has periodic external SOC 2 Type II audits, with reports available to customers, and lists ISO 27001. HireQwik has neither audit yet.
  • Integrations with the ATS you already run, including Workday, SuccessFactors, Greenhouse and Indian systems such as PeopleStrong, Zwayam and Ripplehire. HireQwik works next to your ATS through spreadsheets and an Excel export.
  • More ways to reach candidates. Telephone screening, WhatsApp, SMS, QR codes and a recruitment chatbot.
  • Several languages. Talview says Ivy supports multiple languages. HireQwik interviews in English.
  • Identity and integrity at exam grade. ID verification, liveness and deepfake detection and an AI proctoring agent, built for certification bodies as well as employers. HireQwik records tab switches and camera-off moments and leans on follow-up questions.
  • Track record at scale. Talview has assessed more than 10 million candidates in 120+ countries since starting in 2012.

What to compare before you decide

  1. Whether you need video assessment, or would rather score the conversation alone.
  2. Which audits your security review requires before a pilot can start.
  3. How results get into your ATS, and whether a direct integration is a must.
  4. The channels your candidates actually respond on, such as WhatsApp, a phone call or a browser link.
  5. The minimum volume or commitment each vendor needs before you can start.

Running HireQwik next to Talview

You do not need to switch anything to compare them. Pick a role with a large applicant pool, give both tools the same job description and the same candidates, and check each shortlist against the people your recruiters would have chosen. Then review a few complete interviews from each and decide which evidence your hiring managers would trust.

Questions about HireQwik and Talview

Is HireQwik a Talview alternative?

For the first round of high-volume hiring in English, yes: both screen resumes and run AI interviews with follow-up questions. Talview also covers live video interviews, telephone screening, assessments, identity verification and exam proctoring under SOC 2 Type II, so organisations that need those in one audited platform will find more in Talview.

Is Talview's AI interviewer a video interview?

Yes. Talview describes Ivy as AI video interview software and says it uses visual cues to guide the conversation and assess candidates. HireQwik's AI interview is a voice conversation in the browser, scored on what the candidate says.

Does Talview have a minimum commitment?

Talview's pricing page says pricing is unit-based and that a minimum of about 150 to 200 candidates is typically required, with extra charges possible for more than 10 candidates in a pilot. HireQwik does not publish pricing; book a demo for a quote.

Which one connects to Indian ATSs such as PeopleStrong or Zwayam?

Talview lists integrations with PeopleStrong, Zwayam, Ripplehire and TurboHire alongside Workday, SuccessFactors and Greenhouse. HireQwik does not connect to an ATS directly: candidates come in from a sheet, form, Excel file or Drive folder, and the shortlist goes back as an Excel export.

Which is better for BPO hiring?

It depends on what you need around the interview. Talview offers spoken English proficiency scoring, WhatsApp, SMS and QR-code interviews and proctoring for BPO volume. HireQwik gives each candidate a voice conversation scored on communication and role answers, with the transcript and resume evidence behind every recommendation.
