High-volume hiring software that screens every applicant
HireQwik reads every resume against the job, interviews the candidates who fit by AI voice at times they choose, and gives your recruiters one ranked shortlist to work from.
What is high-volume hiring software?
High-volume hiring software handles the first stages of hiring when hundreds or thousands of people apply for the same role: screening resumes, scheduling and running first interviews, and producing a shortlist. HireQwik does all three in one pipeline and works alongside your applicant tracking system rather than replacing it.
An ATS is built to track candidates through a process. It is not built to read three thousand resumes on a Monday or to hold three hundred first-round conversations by Friday, which is why the bottleneck in volume hiring sits in screening rather than in tracking. If you want the stage-by-stage mechanics first, start with our guide to how AI screening works for high-volume hiring.
Who uses high-volume hiring software
Teams where the number of applicants, not the number of open roles, sets the workload.
- Customer support and contact centres
- Inside sales and business development
- Customer success
- Campus and graduate drives
- Early-career technical roles
- Seasonal and launch hiring surges
- Staffing and recruitment firms
One pipeline from applicant to shortlist
Each step hands its result to the next, so nobody copies candidates between tools.
Applicants come in
From a Google Sheet, a referral form, an Excel file, a Drive folder, or a batch of PDF and DOCX resumes.
Every resume is scored
Against the role's requirements, with the resume line behind each verdict. How resume screening works.
Candidates book themselves
A booking link, a calendar invite and reminders. No recruiter coordinates a single slot.
The AI holds the first round
A 10 to 20 minute voice interview with follow-ups. How the AI interviewer works.
Recruiters get one ranked list
Resume score, recording, transcript and a recommended tier per candidate, exportable to Excel.
Where volume breaks a manual process, and what replaces it
The same five jobs have to happen whether you have fifty applicants or five thousand. Only one of these approaches grows with the pile.
| Step | Done by hand | With HireQwik |
|---|---|---|
| Reading applications | Recruiters skim until the time runs out, so late applicants get less attention | Every application is read against the same requirements |
| Scheduling first rounds | Emails and calls to find a time, one candidate at a time | Candidates pick a slot themselves, evenings and weekends included |
| Holding first rounds | Capped by recruiter hours in the day | Up to 1,300 interview slots a day |
| Keeping a record | Whatever the recruiter had time to note | Recording, transcript and an evaluation per question |
| Handing over to hiring managers | A spreadsheet of names and impressions | A ranked shortlist with the evidence for each candidate |
Capacity for a hiring surge
Volume rarely arrives evenly. A campus drive, a new contract or a product launch can bring a month of applicants in a week, and the first round has to keep up without your team working nights.

What to compare before choosing high-volume hiring software
Six questions to put to any vendor, with our own answers. Where we fall short, we say so.
- Does it read every resume against the job, or filter on keywords?
- HireQwik scores each requirement and quotes the resume line behind it. Ask any vendor to show you why one resume scored higher than another.
- Does it talk to candidates, or only filter them?
- HireQwik runs a two-way voice interview with follow-up questions. Many tools stop at a form or a one-way video.
- Who does the scheduling?
- Candidates book their own slots and get a calendar invite and reminders. Recruiters schedule nothing.
- What does the recruiter actually see?
- One profile per candidate: resume score, recording, transcript, per-question evaluation and a recommended tier they can override.
- How does it fit your ATS?
- Alongside it. Candidates come in from sheets, forms, Excel or Drive, and the shortlist exports to Excel. We do not offer native ATS integrations yet.
- Languages, data location and audits?
- Interviews run in English. Application data is stored in AWS Mumbai, India. We have no SOC 2, ISO 27001 or independent bias audit yet, which matters for some US employers and for roles in New York City.

When you do not need high-volume hiring software
- Fewer than a few dozen applicants per role. A recruiter will finish the screen before the setup is reviewed.
- Hiring that runs on referrals and headhunting, where nobody is drowning in applications.
- Interviews in languages other than English. HireQwik's AI interviews are in English today.
Pilot data from hiring in India, 2026
What a drive looks like in practice
In one live drive, 3,000 people applied. About 1,200 passed the resume screen, took the AI interview and arrived on the recruiters' screens already ranked. The team reviewed the top tiers in an hour or two instead of spending about 18 hours reading profiles.
Across all our data so far, HireQwik has screened 66,873 resumes and completed 2,589 AI interviews.
Questions buyers ask about high-volume hiring software
Does high-volume hiring software replace an ATS?
Not HireQwik. Your applicant tracking system stays the system of record for jobs, offers and compliance. HireQwik takes the applicants, scores every resume, runs the first-round interviews and hands back a ranked shortlist as an Excel export, so the screening work leaves your recruiters' calendars without changing the system your company already runs.
How long does it take to set up a new role?
HireQwik drafts the screening setup as soon as the job description is uploaded: requirements, must-have rules, interview questions and a scoring rubric. Most of the setup time is your team reading and editing that draft. Once it is approved, candidates can be invited straight away, and one hiring team had a ranked shortlist within 48 hours.
What happens when a candidate misses their interview?
Candidates can move their slot from their own booking page, within set limits, so most clashes never reach a recruiter. If someone misses the slot anyway, a recruiter can send them a fresh booking link in one click. Even with reminders, about one in five booked interviews in our data expires without the candidate joining, so plan for it.
Can one team run several high-volume roles at the same time?
Yes. Each role has its own setup, intake and shortlist, and recruiters can filter the inbox and the interview list by role. Roles can share a candidate source, such as one master application sheet, with each applicant routed to the role they applied for.
Is high-volume hiring software only for frontline jobs?
No. It fits any role where many people apply for the same opening: customer support, inside sales, customer success, campus and graduate hiring, and early-career technical roles. The questions and rubric come from your own job description, so the screen fits the role rather than a generic frontline script.
How is high-volume hiring software priced?
HireQwik does not publish prices. Book a demo with one of your live job descriptions and we will show you what screening that role looks like and what it would cost. For most teams it costs well below a recruiter phone screen for every applicant.
